Parked at Blaine Branch

The Wings Financial Mobile Billboard was delivered late Wednesday night to the branch located at 10400 Baltimore St. NE in Blaine.

It was parked just out from the branch where everyone entering the shopping center was able to see the Grand Opening, Over $5000 in prizes! Wings Financial ad.

It was nice to get the extra few days of on-site exposure in a way that drew attention to the location of the new branch.

10am to 4pm

The day was cold, just 21 degrees, windy with slushy frozen roads as the Wings Financial Mobile Billboard began the day.

We stayed near the branch at National Market Center for the time up to the Grand Opening ribbon cutting ceremony. After the ceremony we began working our way north on Hwy 65 starting near the Super Target and all the nearby food places.

It was pretty busy in near Cub Foods and the surrounding area.

Just before 2pm the Wings Mobile Billboard Truck headed over to the Northtown Mall area. We worked our way in and out of the mall, near Cub Foods, restaurants and other stores like Home Depot. And across the way at the Walmart and other stores in the area.

While at Northtown we had a front wheel bearing go out on the truck. Fortunately we were able to bring it over the Friendly Chevrolet less than 2 miles away. They had it fixed that evening and we were back on the road first thing in the morning. Whew!

We adjusted our driving hours to 9:30am to 6:30pm for the next 3 days to make up for any lost time.

9:30 am to 6:30pm

Moving up and down Highway 65 from Hwy 10 and north was the focus of the beginning of the day. We made our way in and out of the stores and shopping areas along the way. And also found a number of places where we were able to park and position the Wings Financial Mobile Billboard and get really good exposure to all the traffic passing by.

We arrived at Northtown Mall just about noon. It was fairly busy. We did a lot of looping around the mall and in and out at the main entrances, pausing for awhile to let all the passing traffic see the Wings Financial ad.

Cub Foods and the restaurants were pretty busy for lunch hour.

Then to Downtown Anoka, it was a pretty busy area. Not many places to sit and let traffic pass by so we just kept moving  through the area. The nice blue ad on the Wings Mobile Billboard really stands out against the all the white snow.

Over at the Riverdale area it was very busy with lots of slow driving. Riverdale Commons (Target, Home Depot, Michaels) and Riverdale Village (Costco, Best Buy, JC Penney, Kohl’s) were both fairly busy with lots of in and out near the main entrances so we just worked our way back and forth crossing Main St. happily getting caught at the stoplights where everyone in the intersections looked over at us.

From here the Wings Blaine Billboard Truck went back over to the Northtown Mall area. Traffic was flowing quite well. There are a number of good spots right on County Rd 10 near the mall where we parked and were able to get some good exposure to all the cars passing by.

We did a few more loops and the made our way over to busy Highway 65 for the remainder of the day. Traffic very heavy, both going North and South on 65.

As it got dark we turned on the inside lights and the Wings Financial ad just popped. As we made our way up and down 65 you could see everyone look over to check it out.

9:30am to 6:30pm

The morning started a little slow as we worked our way north an south on Highway 65 from Hwy to 133rd Ave. We traveled through and around Walmart, Cub and the other stores in the area like Goodwill and Aldi, but not a lot of people moving around.

Coon Rapids was the next area to be visited by the Wings Financial Mobile Billboard. We made our way through and around Riverdale Village stopping by Costco, Kohl’s, TJ Maxx, Ulta, Bed Bath and Beyond and also visited Riverdale Commons. Traffic on Main St. and the surrounding area was moderate.

Then over to Northtown (Herbergers, Burlington, Herbergers) and Northtown Commons (Barnes and Noble) where we found decent traffic on County Rd 10 and University Ave. We made trips through Walmart and Sam’s Club on University.

Back on 65 (Central Ave), lots of traffic moving in both directions. We worked our way north going through all the shopping areas (Target, Walmart, Cub) as we went and then did the same on our way back south. Traffic is slow, it’s a perfect place for the Wings Financial Mobile Billboard to be!

The end of the day was back at the University Ave and Northtown Mall area. (Sam’s Club, Target, Walmart)

9:30am to 6:30pm

The start of the day is a little chilly. Kind of grey with the sun trying to break through.

We started close to the Blaine Wings Financial branch. Then we did a trip north on Hwy 65. There are some good spot to stop and back up close to 65 where all the people passing by can see the Over $5000 in Prizes Wings Financial ad.

At 11am we took Hwy 10 over to Northtown Mall. Great traffic in the area. We stopped at each of several of the entrances for a few minutes, then looped our way back through, very good exposure.

12:30 we left Northtown area. County 10 to Hwy 47 to Main St. Downtown Anoka wasn’t too busy, so we headed over to the Riverdale area. Temperature around 25, a bit of sun.

Over there we founds lots of cars and people going in and out of the stores. Good stuff!

We did a lot of crossovers between the shopping centers, doing our best to get stuck right in the front at all the stoplights so lots of people could see us. You can see everyone looking over to check us out. We stayed in the area until just after 3pm.

The Wings Financial Mobile Billboard traveled back over to Northtown. Once again, pretty solid traffic. We did some more passes and loops through the mall catching people coming in and out of all the main entrances.

It was starting to get dark so at 4:30 we turned the inside lights on. It’s always so cool to have the ads light up and the blues and yellows of the Wings Financial ad really stand out!

Back on Highway 65 it’s bumper to bumper and we are (happily!) stuck right in the middle of all of it. We made our trips north and south with all of the rush hour commuter traffic. It’s definitely as busy as we’ve seen it all week.

9am to 3pm

Cloudy, humid and cold.

The day began up and down Highway 65 working the usual areas (Kohl’s, Walmart, Target) as well as in and out of the intersections.

Just after 11 the Wings Financial Mobile Billboard moved to the Riverdale area, which was extremely busy. Costco was packed, Target was busy and so were JC Penney, OLd Navy and Kohl’s.

We had one lady come up to us and comment that she had seen us at 3 different stores that day. Sweet!

We had another older couple ask where the branch was located because they were members. Our driver gave them the address and directions.

Over at Northtown it was super busy too. Lots and lots of people out shopping. Everywhere the Wings Financial Mobile Billboard Truck went in was busy.

Just west of Northtown, acrosos University the Walmart had a never ending line of cars and people in and out.

We headed back to the Blaine Wings Financial branch for some last few trips around the branch before calling it a wrap! A great final day!
