8:30am to 5:30pm

We arrived at the Big Iron Farm Show at 8:30am. Temperature was 52, with 22mph winds! (Yesterday it was almost 80 degrees and sunny here in Fargo!)

The Nexera Canola Mobile Billboard started by greeting people at the North Gate where the buses drop people. It was a steady flow of people.

Lots of pick up trucks (red Chevrolets are pretty popular). People came in groups of 2 to 4.

About 11am it started to sprinkle on and off. Just kind of a slow trickle of people. Cold and windy.

We talked with the Mycogen reps, Bruce Due and Johnathan Anderson, they mentioned that it was probably slower due to farmers still trying to get field work done before the rain that was coming.

1:15pm, the Mycogen Billboard Truck was at the Field Demonstrations where they were showing aerial drones. By now it was raining.

By 2pm people were starting to leave and there were very few new people coming to the show. A very slow day.

We continued to work our way between the main entrances and through the parking areas.

3pm the rain was a little heavier. People coming slowly. It was cold, wet and windy.

The Mycogen Nexera Mobile Billboard stayed at the fairgrounds until 5:30 to catch as many people as possible as they were leaving the show.

8:30am to 5:30pm

Only 46 degrees, very windy and overcast as the Nexera Canola Mobile Billboard arrived at the Big Iron Farm Show for the day. Brrrr!

Good, steady flow of people coming. (Yesterday was red pick up trucks, today white seems to be more popular.)

10:30 things are staring to pick up and the parking areas are starting to fill up. We are moving around the main entrances, mostly the East one and the North one. The parking lots are kind of muddy from all, the rain yesterday and last night.

By Noon, it’s getting busy. Temperature is up to 52 with strong winds from the north.

Everywhere we go the Mycogen Nexera Mobile Billboard is definitely being noticed. People turn their heads to read the message on the sides and point over at us.

At the field demonstrations today it was the aerial drones again.

2:30-3:00 there are still people coming into the show.

About 4pm, the exodus started, and the parking areas seemed to empty out pretty quickly. We stayed around and were able to catch many people as they were leaving.

After 2 days of rainy, muddy parking lots and roads we finished by washing up the truck ato be ready to hit the Big Iron Farm Show in the morning.

8:30am to 4pm

It’s the final day of the Big Iron Farm Show 2014. The temperature is only 44 degrees and it is cloudy. And windy!

Traffic is starting off kind of slow. By 10am there was still plenty of space in the parking areas. The Mycogen Nexera Mobile Billboard worked its way between the show entrances and parking areas.

People coming to the show are generally in groups of 2 or 3 or 4.

Just before noon, the sun finally came out! First time all week. And activity started picking up with trucks and cars heading in.

The bright Mycogen Nexera Canola ad stood out well. People are always looking over to check it out. We heard one guy say “I saw a truck like that in Vegas.”

We talked with Jay Steiner, Mycogen District Manager for Minnesota, he stopped to take a picture of the truck. And he was happy we were out promoting Mycogen.

All afternoon there was a trickle of people in and out. The temp got all the way up to 53!

By about 3:30 it was pretty slow and the vendors were starting to pack up. The show ended at 4 and we headed back to the shop.
